Em Bettinger’s cancer treatment

To those of us fortunate enough to know Em Bettinger, she is many things.

To some of us, she is our inspiring yoga teacher, always welcoming with a smile on her face, having created a safe space for us to practice, come together, and breathe.

To some of us she is a committed vegan and prominent, fearless animal rights activist & fundraiser. Especially with regard to her beloved dolphins and rescue animals.

To a lucky select few, she is a wife, a daughter, and a sister.

To a number of us, she is the above and, most of all, a beloved and generous friend.

Our friend, teacher, and warrior is now facing her own personal battle that she needs all of our help with.

Em has been diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer. On the advice of her doctors, she is returning to the UK to begin her treatment, leaving behind her tribe of adored rescue cats and husband Phil in Japan. The road ahead will be long and expensive, but for anyone who knows Em, we know that she will be able to come through this battle on the other side stronger than ever.

Until that day, though, she needs your help. Please donate whatever you are able to. Em faces large bills for her treatment, most of which she will have to find the funds for herself. All funds raised from this fundraiser will go directly to Em’s medical expenses and to helping her afford necessities whilst undergoing treatment.

ある人にとってのエムは、いつだって安心してみんなで集まれる、呼吸して練習するための場を作ってくれるヨガの先生。いつも笑顔で迎えて、元気を与えてくれる存在。

また別の人にとっては、熱心なヴィーガンで、動物保護のために資金集めもする屈指の勇敢な活動家。特にエムが大好きなイルカと、保護動物のための支援活動をご存知でしょう。

ごくわずかのすごい幸運の持ち主にとっては、妻であり、娘であり、妹です。

そしてたくさんの人にとって、エムはここにあげたような存在で、何といっても、大きな心をもった大切な友達です。

そんな友達であり、先生であり、勇敢に戦うエムが、今自分のための戦いに面して、みんなからの支援を必要としています。

エムは、ステージIIIの子宮頸癌と診断を受けました。医師の勧めもあり、かわいがっている保護ネコたちと夫のフィルを日本に残して、イギリスに戻って治療を開始することになっています。この道のりは長く、相当な費用がかかります。でも、エムのことを知っている人たちはみんな、エムがこの戦いを乗り越えて、これまで以上に強くなって帰ってくるってわかっています。

だけど、その日が来るまでは、みんなからの助けを必要としています。どうか、そんなエムのために寄付をお願いいたします。多額の医療費がかかり、エムはその大部分を自分で何とか捻出しなければなりません。このファンディングで集まる資金は全額、エムの医療費と、治療中に必要な生活資金に充てられます。

エムの代わりに闘うことはできないけれど、ひとりひとりの支援が集まれば、何でもできるはずです。小さな額でもありがたいです。それがエムの回復への道のりに変化を起こすのですから。
