I adopted Elva from Cats Protection on the 12th of August 2018. She went completely blind about 6 months later but I couldn’t afford to take her to the vet, which I feel terrible about.
On the 6th of December 2019 I managed to afford her first vet visit after her eyes appeared to be bloody. They told me she probably has kidney disease and that caused her to go blind. To check, they said it would be about £60 for the blood test, which I can’t afford.
Since then, things have gotten extremely worse. Elva has no appetite, has lost so much weight, drinks excessive amounts of water, has bad breath, a pale tongue and just seems depressed.
Elva is my everything. I really don’t want to give her up. She makes me happy every single day but I don’t want her to suffer.
