The time has finally come around again for the Trek in Namibia to support the desert elephants, September 7, 2013. This will be the third trek for me. It was an awesome experience the last two times. It was also very successful. EHRA is such an incredibly worthy organization. Throughout the year EHRA enlists volunteers to build walls around water points. This helps to eliminate elephants destroying the water point and the often fatal retaliation by the people affected. The Trek is the annual fundraiser to help with maintaining their essential vehicles as well as EHRA's PEACE (People and Elephants Amicably Co-Existing) Project, which focuses on empowering community members (including school learners) with knowledge on elephant behaviour so they can live without fear of the desert elephants.
The work they do saves lives, the lives of elephants and the people living near water points. I'm going to help them with the work they do. I hope you can help as well. If you prefer to donate with a check, let me know and I can get you the mailing address for EHRA in the US or my address.
Thank you so very much for whatever you can do.
Expect to see photos on my FaceBook page after the trek.
Thank you all for your support!!
Good things always...
