North Country Resident, Elanie Roberts, was crowned 2014 Miss. Jr. Teen Syracuse/Binghamton on October 12, 2013. Elanie is now moving on to the 2013 National Pageant Competition December 11-16, 2013.

I have recently been crowned Miss Jr. Teen Syracuse/Binghamton. I am very honored and blessed to be the one holding the crown and representing Syracuse/Binghamton and the North Country.   Such and amazing experience and I am looking forward to the upcoming year.  I received the letter in the mail for the pageant out of the blue. My mom and I had no idea how i got entered into the pageant. I was super ecstatic when I opened the letter because I have always wanted to model, be in pageants, and act. I went to the interview and got accepted for the pageant contestant number 53. I competed in a personal interview, casual wear, and formal wear categories.  It was a surprise to be chosen by the Syracuse/Binghamton Judges as 2014 Miss Jr. Teen Syracuse/Binghamton.  A huge thank you to all of my previous sponsors."

"I am a honor roll student in honors math at Carthage Central Middle School. I am currently a cheerleader for the Carthage Bears Pop Warner Team. I have competed in Nationals in Trenton, New Jersey. I also enjoy volleyball, dance, gymnastics, band, color guard, chorus, swimming, mathematics, playing piano, taking pictures, camping, and spending time with my family and friends. My goals in life are to go to college and study Liberal Arts. I want to become an actress and an advocate for sexually assaulted youth. Eventually, I plan on working in the Special Victims area. "

Elanie will be competing for over $30,000.00 in prizes. Awards will be presented at the National Competition. She will also be competing for Miss Photogenic.  Community businesses, organizations, and private individual will assist Elanie in the participating in this year's competition by becoming an official sponsor to Elanie. Through sponsorship Elanie will acquire all the financial support needed to become confident and a well-prepared contestant in this year’s National Competition.

"My goal $3,000 to help with my trip expensive and $1,000 will be distributed to local Victims Assitance Agencies and Food Pantry's."

Any organization, or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Elanie may contact 2013 National Competition at 1-800-559-3492 and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
