Edwin’s Higher Education Funds

I am humbled to asked for your support to raise ‎€4300 to help me pursue my higher education dreams.

I am a 26 years old independent Kenyan Artist living in Nairobi. Having grown up in the gloomy escarpments of Kibera Slums, I have developed a deep sense of self discipline and a great deal of inner drive to pursuing my dreams. I am passionate, dedicated and focused.

Being an upcoming young artist, I have had it rough endeavoring to make a living; a name in the African art industry until I met some lovely friends from Austria who really loved my work and appreciated my talent. And since I never went to university for higher education, they have offered me a chance to do so by inviting me to study in Austria. I had my first visit to Europe, Austria, in September. I had a show in Salzburg for my paintings. And now I am more than excited to join one of the universities to pursue my dreams and sharpen my artistic skills.

As it has been one of my dreams and wishes, I would like to have this chance to break off the circle of Just brush and paints on canvas. I would like to be a scholar. My grand goal is to be an art therapist. And with this plan, I have to start from somewhere.And since I have developed good contacts and have made good friends in Austria, who are willing to support me through university I know it is suitable for me to grab this chance.

I will fly to Salzburg in the end of January, 2016 and commence my language courses in February as I am looking forward to joining university in July. Looking into logistics of my stay there as I would like to pursue a bachelor course in Arts and later master in Art therapy, I am yet to confirm the university I will be attending as my friends and future sponsor are working on the same. I would like to have your support to raise ‎€4300 to cover a bit of my expenses to pursue my dreams. I will be in Austria specifically in Salzburg for three months for my initial stages for higher education in doing my foundation courses in German Language as it is a necessity for public universities and sit for entry examinations. Then join university in July or September.
