Edwardian Rugby Club will be travelling and playing 5 games, in 5 different countries in just 3 days. May 22nd - 24th 2015. This unique and brutal event has not ever been attempted by any rugby club in the world.

The players will depart our home town of Solihull, travelling to Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Wales and back to England to complete this world first.

The fixtures are as follows

22/05/15 19.00 Wigtownshire RFC (Scotland)

23/05/15 13.00 Dromore RFC (Northern Ireland)

23/05/15 19.00 Greystones RFC (Republic of Ireland)

24/05/15  13.00 Llandudno RFC (Wales)

24/05/15 19.30 Greater Birmingham XV (England)  at Streetsbrook Road, Solihull

We will be raising money for 2 fantastic projects:

1. Hunters Hill Technology College. Hunters Hill is a Bromsgrove based specialist school for pupils from the most deprived areas of Birmingham with learning, behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties. Pupils are encouraged believe in themselves with an aim to increase-self esteem along with the ability to socialise. The children are supported to 'endeavour to achieve' moving gently towards independence, further education, and ultimately a job. Registered charity 1091007

2. Edwardian Rugby Club - Changing room refurbishment project.  Edwardian FC is a Solihull based RFU accredited club, attracting mini and juniors as well as senior players. The changing facilities are in desperate need of refurbishment to support the demands of the expanding youth section and allow provisions for a future women's team. The money raised will go towards installing a new boiler to provide reliable hot water and refurbish the changing areas.

Your support for this world first would be greatly appreciated!

  • Incredibly impressed that you set up the challenge and achieved it - truly in the Edwardian spirit and I hope the funding continues to match that endeavour.
