Edventure South Africa Trip 2014

One of the most intriguing things about South African culture is its incredible diversity. South Africa is not one single culture, but rather a range of different cultures and eleven official languages. While the diverse population gives South Africa a unique cultural flavor, the South African majority consists of rural inhabitants living largely impoverished lives. The multiethnic communities are still stricken with poverty, poor health, and low levels of education. There is no mistaking the difference in the socioeconomic structure with so many of the country's citizens living in absolute poverty.

Here, I have a great opportunity to make a significant impact in the development of these rural communities and facilitate youth outreach and health and development programs that will improve  both the living conditions of individuals in the community, and provide opportunities for a brighter future for many.

It has been a dream of mine for a long time to visit other countries and help with outreach programs in the local communities. In order to achieve this goal, I need to raise $3,500 excluding my flight. If you could kindly take a moment out of your day to donate anything at all to help me out I would be grateful.
