Clean Water and Education 4 Krui, Sumatra, Indonesia

Hi Everyone :)

Some of you know me as Luke, Teacher Lookuh or even Lunging Loskwas. You all know that I am passionate about exploring the world and immersing myself in new communities and cultures! From my home in South Africa to Malawi, Brazil and to the Philippines and Indonesia - I have always been welcomed with open arms by the local communities and amazing people that live there.
I feel it’s time to give back and say thank you!

I enjoy going off the beaten track which end up being places that are always in need of support in some way or another. Be it poor infrastructure, no access to clean water, poverty or inadequate schooling for kids. My heart breaks knowing that I leave without showing them how thankful I am for their awesome hospitality and love.

I will be going to the Krui area in Sumatra, Indonesia for a few weeks. I will be distributing water filters and volunteering my teaching skills at the local schools while I am at it. The communities are always in need of access to clean water and better education opportunities. I hope to share the love that I have received from similar communities on my travels and empower the future generations of the area. Providing education and access to clean water is a given right for all of us who share and enjoy this beautiful planet.

I am taking much needed school supplies with me and as many water filters as possible.

These water filters provide clean water for 100 people/day and last for several years if maintained properly. You can see where I get them here.

The educational materials I plan to take include books, stationery and any functional learning toys - not only for kids but everyone in the community I will be visiting.

This is where you come in and join me for the ride of making your heart full and seeing what a small difference you can make in people’s lives. I need some help so I can increase the reach of my efforts and put more smiles on faces.

This is what I need the funds for:

• Purchasing and Delivery of the educational supplies to Krui
• Purchasing and delivery of the Water Filters to Krui
• Logistics and any unforeseen expenses that might happen
