Help us build Bassa-point Educational Empowerment center for underprivileged children

Many countries in Africa face infrastructure deficits which in terms delay school enrolment for school age-children, leaving most kids and young adults for advanced grades at the bottom of the educational system.

Bassa-point is a small rural island village located southwest of Liberia. The island constitutes a population of 2,000 people and including 800 children. Because of its geographical location, the village does not benefit from social and economic services including school, health, and infrastructures. 239 school-age children including preschool and primary currently do not have access to basic learning programs and formal education in the Bass-Point village. Because of the lack of learning space or school, curriculums and teaching material such as textbooks, the majority of the 6-14 years children in Bassa-Point village have no basic literacy skills and are out of school.

The "BASSA-POINT EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT CENTER PROJECT" fundraising campaign aim is to raise funds to build a learning facility in Bassa-Point village so that children in the village and the surrounding other surrounding villages can come together to acquire preschool and basic educational skills and knowledge in a suitable learning environment. The project will be one of the first of its kind that will be undertaken in the village so children can have access to the learning program. Together we can change the story for children in Bassa-Point!
