Educational Trip to Krakow and Auschwitz

UNITE AGAINST FACISM and LOVE MUSIC HATE RACISM are organising a trip to the Auschwitz Nazi concentration camp in Poland from the 4th - 7th November this year.

We will be based in the historic city of Krakow - a city that ranks alongside Prague and Vienna as one of Central Europe's gems.  Until the Second World War, Krakow was one of the great Jewish centres in Europe.  In March 1943 the Nazis cleared the ghetto and sent the city's entire population to extermination camps.  The purpose of this trip is to more deeply understand the Holocaust and the Nazis, but also to look at the threat of facism today. 

There are a few people going from Glasgow and we are trying to raise money to help towards the cost of the trip, so we've set up this crowdfunding page as one way to do this.  We're also going to be holding a gig with Love Music Hate Racism on the 17th of October, which there will be more news about soon,  getting support through trade unions and using old-fashioned sponsorship forms. 

The trip is at the beginning of November so we need to raise some money pretty quickly.  If you would like to help us raise money you can donate any amount at all and we will love you very much.  

We've calculated we need about £1000 altogether to fund the trip for the three of us... Any money we raise beyond this will be used for other Love Music Hate Racism events.
