Educational space for Ukrainian kids

Recently many mothers with children came to Hungary, some mothers were able to get a job, but for various reasons, not everyone was able to enroll their children in local schools. Therefore, a group of volunteers opened an educational space for kids, where they can continue studying in their native language, find new friends, and just spend time together while their mothers are at work.

So far up to 60 children visit our space every day, mostly pupils of primary and secondary school. Every day kids get a hot meal, and fruits and are provided with stationery.

However, for a month now, due to the absence of state financial support our teachers (most of them are also refugees) have been teaching on a voluntary basis. Financial support for them is the most burning issue in the project.

According to the most conservative estimates, the school needs about 1 million forints (2900 dollars) per month for teachers' salaries. This amount could cover the work of 4 teachers and 1 school coordinator for one month. Therefore, we ask all those who are not indifferent to respond to our request for help and join the fundraising for the further work of the project!
