Educational sailing trip across the Atlantic

My name is Marla van Randwijk, 14 years old. I live in the Netherlands and I am an experienced and enthusiastic RS Feva sailor. I love sailing and I am about to experience one of the biggest adventures of my life!

From November until December 2016 I will be sailing from Tenerife to the Caribbean, with 29 others, on the tall ship 'Wylde Swan'. On our way we will be making our regular school work and get to learn more about physics, chemistry and biology. For example, we will be learning how to navigate such a large tall ship, map-reading and about the ecological and geological processes we experience during our time at the ocean and the Caribbean Islands. I hope this trip will teach me life long skills on an educational, social and personal level.

In order to make this unique trip possible, I do need some help. I try to obtain fundings and (financial) support by working jobs, doing garage sales and as many other things as possible. And of course, it would be incredibly helpful if people, like yourself, would donate! Every small contribution is appreciated and will bring me one step closer!
