Educational package for 200 kids under lock-down

Donate to support us get reading and work books children in lock down! We are in the 4th month since school closed down due to the COVID-19, the COVID cases in Ghana is increasing everyday and there is no assurance of schools opening soon, many kids in our school and village do not have access to internet, computers or smart phones to access educational materials while they are at home. we are organizing work books and buying of reading books for the children in the village to keep their minds active and improve their reading skills during this lock down period.

Challenge

Many of the children in our school and the village are at risk children and have poor reading skills, their reading performance are at least two years behind their current grades levels. The corona virus schools lock down will worsen this since the children can not go to school to learn and also do not have internet access, computers or smart phones to learn online from home.

Solution

some of our teachers have offered to prepare, purchase and organize simple reading books and work books for the children in the village to keep their minds active during this lock down period. The objective is to help all students with poor reading skills learn to read at grade level and increase their reading speed, comprehension, and reading attention span. The work book will also engage them with creative exercises, it a kind of education to the children while they at home.
