Wagego Kenya is a local NGO founded by David Agagwa in 2012 (Certificate number: 40792) from Mfangano Island in the Victoria Lake (Easter Kenya). Due to the high prevalence of HIV in the Island, there are many orphans and partly orphans and David decided to pay the school fees of them in order to avoid the high rates of dropouts in school because many families were unable to afford the school taxes of the kids. He started with a little group of kids and now, the group has increased with people in the high school and in the college.
In 2015, he decided to take a new step to improve the life of the orphans in the Island and built with the help of donations and volunteers a multi functional center for the community. In this center, kids and teens as well as, all members of the community can learn computers, read books, play and above all, forget the sad reality they have to face everyday. The center was built however, to be totally used they need some requirements like electrical installation (300.00$), glasses for the windows (100.00$) and restroom building (200.00$). The total amount they need for finishing the project is 600.00$. They have been supplied with computers and books but without electricity and glasses for security they can not leave the materials there. Therefore, they need your help to take advantage of the center. It is not so much money but for them could make the difference giving the chance of learning and supporting them to dream about the future. Of course, any amount would be received gratefully.
