I would like to express my gratitude as I certainly need your support.
I come from a small country called Georgia located on the crossroads of Europe and Asia. Friendly people, breathtaking nature, tasty cuisine and a lot more you can find here. However as a developing country, we particularly youth, have to tackle with a number of problems. For instance, the tuition fees are very high at universities compared to our living standards. When I passed the national exams, I received the full government scholarship but I did not pursue my degree due to several reasons. First and foremost, I was not satisfied with my education level hence I took a gap year and applied for a volunteering opportunity in Riga,Latvia which gave me a fulfilling experience. Then I started to work at a hostel and a tour guide. This helped me realize I am truly interested in social sciences and public policy. So finally I ended up to be a student at the leading university in Georgia offering the best combination of above mentioned subjects. Unfortunately there are no part time jobs here, leaving me unemployed thus I can not finance myself. Therefore I believe in good will of people from all over the world to help me make my dream come true and get a well-rounded education. This the reason why I chose sociology as my future profession because I know people are great power.
