Education, Our Promise.

After his mother was diagnosed with a mental illness, Promise Oduga's life turned into a nightmare when his father, upon seeing his wife's situation decided to elope, with his whereabouts still unknown after seven years. Promise, who is now 13, took to fishing at age 7 as a means of helping her mom and other siblings survive.According to his teachers, Promise has a great sense of responsibility, something his father clearly lacked. He rises as early as 3:00 am to go fishing before setting out for school by 7:30 am. Despite his many responsibilities, he has never given up on school. According to him, nothing will make him happier than becoming a professional teacher in the future. Promise lives at 'Ogbodokope', but his school is in a nearby town, several miles away. With your help together with "Hletivi Foundation", we'd like to support Promise Odega's education which will in the long run lift this determined soul out of extreme poverty and also decrease the number of children actively engaged in child labour. We also want to offer further medical help to the mother.
