Education NPO for underprivilaged children

We are a start-up non-profit organisation looking to work with underprivileged children. We would like to shine a light on how unequal education is and how those in disadvantaged areas are most affected. As most are aware, the Eastern Cape, in South Africa, is one of the poor provinces in the country, with consistently poor matric results. There has been a staggering number of reported cases of children abuse at homes as well as at schools. There are abuse cases that have not been reported, this is why we would like to help bring a person who will be impartial and a safe space for the children. We want to bring quality education, expose them to opportunities they otherwise would not know about. We want to introduce programmes that include counselling, tutoring and mentorship. As an NPO we don't only want to assist with bringing quality education but also dignity to the children as they attend, this will be done through initiatives such as the free sanitary pad programmes, providing shoes and school uniforms. The poor service delivery in bringing in stationary has a negative effect on the overall academic performance, therefore we aim to facilitate in the timely delivery of stationary to the schools.
