Campaign Story
Akrobortonu is a small fishing community of about 1300 people, located along the Volta river in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The inhabitants are small scale farmers and fishermen enough to feed the family and surplus is sold. For several years, many numbers of children never knew what education or schooling is about, the village is about 5 kilometres away from the main road. Life in this village is not perfect since the villagers lack so many facilities: school, health centre, proper housing among others.
Daily chores are therefore given to the children too even at the tender age of five years.
In 2017, Anja Charity Foundation visited this village and found lot of problems,and made this village of our partner community through which we started and innovation school ( a basic learning centre to bring the joy of education into the children and the whole community ).
Time to time we also visited the people with our volunteer nurses from Europe and Uk to provide free medical care and some basic needs to the children and the entire community.
The love for schooling is very inspiring and we have over 300 children all willing and convinced to go to learn at school.
We need good - well furnished classrooms to accommodate all these children in a comfortable way to learn and play.
We need your help, consider the children and put a smile on their faces by building a better future for them. Every little donation is counted great.

I was shocked to realise that in 2018 there are still children in the world with no access to a school. I guess I should keep myself better informed. I hope there will be enough donations to give this community's children the right to be educated.
