Iam Jackobeth Akhonya from Nakuru City in Kenya, Nakuru Blankets School closed down in 2013 due to lack of funds, it was serving a population of 500 pupils to 700 pupils, and students from the community have been forced to access education more than 3km away. As a child, I walked for 3 km to access education in the village on a daily basis and it affected my studies, during the rainy season I could not go to school.

The parents in this community are from the lower class, most of them are laborers or jobless, they cannot afford a decent education, and most children do not go to school due to the long distance.

If the school was to be reopened it would have advantages for the community

1. Its location is centralized hence easily accessible to students

2. It has 18 classrooms, 2 staffrooms, 2 laboratories, and a kitchen that needs renovation

3. It has a small farm for agriculture

4. It has a football pitch. basketball court that needs renovation.

Kindly help revive this school beacause education is a basic need and could bring a limelight in the community
