Education Funds for Underprivileged Children

Orphanage Hope Ghana started a project in some of the villages in Ghana for unprivileged children by supporting them in various ways; our first project was HIV/AIDS awareness workshop which we educate the children and the entire village on how they can abstain from HIV/AIDS and other kind of sickness like malaria, etc. After the project, we conducted a survey and realize there are other issues confronting them in terms of children not going to school, lack of good water, sanitation, eye disease like glaucoma, and we are still conducting survey for further issues. We would like to alleviate those problems and we are therefore proposing for financial support to help us carry out these projects successfully. Our main focus for this fund raising is child education which will help us put those children in schools and put up good school buildings, because some of the children are still learning under wooden structures and unprivileged children are still not attending due to lack of funds. There is a pain in our heart and can’t be freed unless we see those children in schools and help solve other issues. These villages are farming communities and using those children in farms without education. We would extend this project to other close villages, when we have enough funding to help us carry out those projects.  Due to the nature of the projects we don’t have a fixed amount but we would like to start the projects from $20,000 as initial startup.Orphanage Hope Ghana has been encouraging people to donate child livelihood needs and also has been providing education and nutrition through charity donations to over 12,500 underprivileged children in villages like Agomeda, Mediee, Ensobuee and across the country. But this is just a small step forward. There are over 50 thousand underprivileged children in Ghana who are out-of-school. Not by choice but because of sheer bad luck.To sponsor a child can potentially play a vital role in the country's development as educated children are the key to a bright future. As you sponsor a charity, it shall help children of Ghana as your will go a long way in providing educational opportunities for children as well as sponsor a girl child, who would otherwise be left behind.
