Education Fund

Born and raised in Singapore, a small country situated in Asia and considered to be one of the most expensive country to live in. Paper qualifications plays a huge part in the income that someone is entitled to, I wish to raise funds for my part-time Diploma in a local institution.

I’m presently 33, married and blessed with a beautiful 1 year old daughter. Currently holding a job on a contract basis. Jobs are hard to come by lately and experience doesn’t seem to amount much.

I was raised in a broken family, parents divorced when I was young and my Mother single handedly raised me and my Brother. Always trying to give the best that she could for us. Due to our financial situation, I never did managed to further my studies. I had to start working to support my family.

I’ve been able to support my family for the last 15 years or so but I’ve often feel that I could give more. I’ve toyed with the idea of furthering my studies so I earn more and in return I could make my mother and daughter proud. That I’ve not given up on trying. With that idea in mine, I took the plunge and enrolled For a part time Diploma and have made payment for the 1st semester. There is 5 semesters in total.

Initially I thought that I could afford the Diploma but due to unforeseen circumstances, I realised that I might not be able to afford it after all. There’s so much that the government can do to help individuals like me. Thus why I’m here, hoping that I can raise enough for the course fees and also to cover the material costs. This is first time that I’m trying to raise funds in such a manner.
