Education For Ugandan Girls

Emerge For Africa Ltd is a fairly new UK registered NGO whose main objectives are Girls' Education and Women Empowerment in remote areas of Uganda.

We wish to raise 700 pounds to cover some of the cosst of a crucial trip to Uganda in September 2013 during which we will carry out a complete Needs Analysis and source safe and hygienic premises to open our first Educational and Professional Centre for Ugandan Girls and Women who are not in the position to access formal education for financial and/or personal reasons, and/or have no means to increase their employment/professional opportunities. 

Our project's objectives are to promote and increase the socio-economic advancement of Girls and Women in different parts of Uganda. 

Girls and Women Education and Socio-Economic Advancement are basic human rights in our countries; however, in Uganda, millions of girls and women are still denied these rights, and/or do not have the means to achieve it. Furthermore, gender disparities are widespread issues and have devastating impacts on girls and women's life: education and further empowerment can address these concerns.

This trip is of great importance and will allow us to discover a variety of areas, fully understand local needs, study where our project is most needed, and develop crucial partnerships with local associations and other development organisations.

We are hoping to come back with a clearer vision, photos of premises we will use for our exciting and rewarding projects, and videos of the area and wonderful people we may be able to help in the future.
