With the Co-vid-19 outbreak and many restrictions and job losses implied by the pandemic, a lot of families in Pakistan find themselves struggling even more than before, living in poverty…

Many parents from remote villages around Faisalabad in Punjab region, stopped sending their children to school as a consequence, as there are no schools nearby around the area where they live and they cannot afford transport and additional school expenses.
Many children even go to work instead of school, as their families are struggling for resources and basic survival and parents do not understand the importance of education for breaking the cycle of poverty.

Meet the Fundraising Campaign manager

My name is Nasira Ijaz, I am a Campaign manager for this fundraising campaign.

I am a qualified registered nurse who have previously worked in a hospital for some 20 years.

I am now working at Lasalle high school in Faisalabad, Punjab region in Pakistan to promote Education for poor and underprivileged children.

My passion and wish is to bring free education to all children, regardless of their family income.

I often lead classes at my own home. Many of the children I teach are not able to pay the school fees or have means of transport to get to school.

I believe education for our children can provide a better future and quality of life and prospects for the next generation and thus help break the cycle of poverty.

To ensure the continuation of the education for these vulnerable children, we need to bring solutions now.

After reaching out to several local welfare and non-governmental organisations for assistance but not finding adequate support, we would like to ask for your kind help and support.We are looking to establish this platform to raise funds to provide transport to school and cover the costs of tuition for children in remote villages who are otherwise unable to attend school, with the long term goal to start building schools directly in villages to cover the costs of education for underprivileged children.

How can you help?

With your generous donations and our 260GBP goal for this campaign as a start to this, we will be able to provide tuition for 7 children for 4 months.

This will cover the costs for arranging the transport, tuition and school supplies costs such as books, notebooks, uniforms and shoes.

How will we use your donations?

100% of your gifts and donations will be directly going to families in need to provide free education for their children.

We realise times are tough now, but with only as little as 5GBP donation from just 52 people we will be able to bring 7 children back to school and break the cycle of poverty and give them better future prospects.
