HELP EDUCATE THE CHILDREN OF DEEP SEA SLUM IN NAIROBI, KENYA

The Deep Sea Slum is a negative environment for children. There is poverty, gangs, drugs, lack of water and proper sanitation and so on. We aim to specifically address this by helping the children from that community and other such communities.

We have a mixed approach; a subsided nursery/kindergarten that offers two meals a day and a scholarship/support program for those in primary, secondary and sometimes university education.

Afrikasi Kenya CBO runs a fully fledged Early Learning Centre called Afrikasi Kenya Kindergarten which offers subsidised low cost but quality education to the needy children from the Deep Sea slums. The Kindergarten also has a feeding program that offers the children two meals a day.

Afrikasi Kenya CBO has also identified and mobilised over 300 Primary and Secondary going children that need support in terms of School fees and Tuition as well as other school levies, Learning Materials and School requirements like uniforms and shoes e.t.c.

Although these children are needy, they are highly intelligent and therefore need support to help them complete their education so that they can get out of this cycle of poverty.
