Campaign Story
My name is Fortunate Mtshali, I'm 34 years old from a township North of Johannesburg called Alexandra. I have been working for a while, trying to save money to further my studies. I had fairly good results in high school and I worked very hard to get educated and change the situation at home. I have been unsuccessful in securing funding for my studies as I cannot afford to go to University full time and take care of my younger siblings.
I have managed to put my little sister through university through every loan I could get and she has completed her degree but is still trying to get a job. I applied for distance learning in Business Administration and I was accepted but I need to pay registration before they issue me with the 75% scholarship which is the maximum they offer. I need to pay $475.00 registration in order to be accepted and secure the scholarship. The rest of the money is to be paid in installments of $168.00 per month for 40 months. This is a lot of money for someone who earns under $500.00 a month and still has to take care of a family.
I'm requesting any type of assistance to secure the scholarship and to pay the tuition so I can fulfil my dream of getting an education and improve the situation in my family. I am trying to raise money through selling handmade jewellery which I am happy to offer as a token of appreciation for any help provided. I need to start fulfilling my dream of getting an education.
I would greatly appreciate any kind of help, no matter how small.
Thank you,
Fortunate Mtshali
