Education for a better future.

When a child loses one or both parents they’re confronted by enormous psycho-social problems which reduce the child’s chances of starting, continuing or completing their studies.

As they grow, they become vulnerable to sexual reproductive challenges like teenage pregnancy, alcoholism, early marriages, rape, and defilement among others. These risks and others are likely to affect their future livelihood as well. There are limited if not shortage of quick solutions to these challenges facing the vulnerable children.

In Uganda today many families and individuals are living in poverty, surviving below the poverty line for their daily meals. Many of these people can not afford school fees for their children.

Given support, these individuals can access education services which can help them sharp their future towards growth and development.

PROBLEM

The big number of vulnerable children in our project area live with guardians and majorly grandparents who are also vulnerable. These vulnerable children are at risk of dropping out of school due to lack of school materials and hygiene products for girls to manage on their hygiene.

The current hurting story behind, children walk to school with dirty uniforms and girls majorly face problem of hygiene management due to lack of soap for washing clothing/uniforms. In Uganda today the price of soap has gone higher from its stable price of $1 to $2-$3 now so many of the guardians living with these children can not afford the price either.

The major aim of this project is to mobilize resources thus include soap, books, pens and hygiene products to facilitate the welfare of 150 vulnerable children who are residents of bukedea district in eastern Uganda to alleviate the prevailing challenge of school dropout.

Our vision to this project is to economically and socially empower vulnerable children/orphans living with their guardian grandparents by providing an environment that promises development and health of the children to their utmost potential.

Our mission is to make sure sufficient care is provided to both vulnerable children and their guardian grandparents such that they can become successful and useful community members who can contribute towards development of their communities.

PROJECT GOALS

-To improve the health conditions of vulnerable children by providing them with soap and sanitary pads for their hygiene management

-Provide them with school materials ( books,pencils and pens).

- Improve the educational achievements of these children.

-Putting lasting smile to be faces of these children by providing them with lunch at school.
