My 14 yr old son, Marcus, was granted an opportunity to a partial scholarship to a catholic school he had been wanting to attend since 6th grade. Although, he was granted with a majority (not all) of the funds to attend school he has expenses that go along with the tuition. The school requires him to dress in dress shirt, tie, dress pants, dress shoes, along with the typical school supplies bookbag, etc. And bus pass which he would qualify for free if he lived 2.0 miles away but we live 1.9 miles away. School lunches which have been about 40$ every 6 days and he has gone without eating lunch a couple days. He has started off with some of the things he needs and i have been getting things here and there as much as i can do and im finding it hard to keep up. I have some health issues and am filing for social disability which takes quite a while. My only option at this point is to reach out and hope someone grabs my hand to help. As i have qualified for free lunches at his previous school this one does not permit it. My son is excelling in his classes with all A's and has such ambition to succeed. He is the future of our country but is being held back due to my problems. I am asking for help desperately not for myself but for my son. He has the potential to be something great and do great things in life and career. If you are able to help we are internally grateful. Im not expecting a free ride for 4 years but just enough to get off our feet. Im trying anything i can possibly do within legal means of course and this is the one and final thing i can try. Please help Marcus if you can and if you cant we understand and god bless anyway. We are eternally grateful for your attention and even taking the time to read about our foundation for education.
