Education Dreams

My name is Samantha Davis. I just recently turned 33. All my life I wanted to go to college and pursue a field in criminal justice and law. I was a great student in high school but I ended up getting pregnant at 16 and having my daughter at 17. The thought of abortion is not one I could even begin to fathom even at that early age. This put a halt on my educational goals and stopped my dreams. It's very hard to raise children on your own when you are still just a child yourself but I did it and graduated high school. My oldest is now almost 16 and I want so desperately to set a good example for her and follow my dreams. I am trying to do just that. I have applied to and been accepted into Midlands Technical College here in Columbia, South Carolina for the fall semester I decided it's high time to go back to school, follow my dreams and lead by example! I applied for financial aid and it has only covered some of my tuiton. I still owe tuition, books and fees before I can start. Unfortunately my father has passed away and my mother is dying from cirrhosis of the liver and I am unable to get financial help from them. I do not want to see this dream come to an end. Please help support me in my continuing education and goals to become a better citizen, woman and parent.
