Education debt cover

Hi, my name Evgeny.

Because of uncalculated actions of my past, and the start point of my life, I got in pretty big debt over the past couple of years.

First of all I would like to explain about my starting point.

My starting point was a small debt which was formed because of a low income and trying help my mother with her bills as she was struggling to pay them off.

My parents divorced when I was 16 years old, because of my fathers alcoholism, and because of his alcoholism, he was and still is spending the money on alcohol rather than paying his alimony. The government can’t do anything because my fathers work isn’t with legal pay check.

Because of bad situation at home, I wasn’t motivated to study, I was a trouble maker at school(not in a violent kind of sense, but rather skipping school, and not studying), and haven’t graduated.

At the age of 20 I’ve decided to invest in myself and in my education while still trying to help my mother with the bills.

I’ve decided that I would take a course in Android and IOS programming at some college. It was not a degree but rather an certificate of the course.

That’s one of couple bad decision I have made. The course haven’t provided the needed basics to be a good programmer and with the help of my friends I had to study a lot by myself, including studying mathematics. The course price tag was huge, and I had to take a loan to be able to pay it off (around 4000 dollars).

It took me more than 3 years to study the basics of programming to be able the program properly. But unfortunately, it is not enough to be able to get a job in the field. What can be good to be able to find a job in the field, is to build a great application for the portfolio to show my capabilities. But unfortunately because of my current debt, I’m not able to work at a lower income job, as I’m still helping my mother to pay the bills, at the same time trying to help my little sister get a better education, so I’m paying some for her education, and trying to live with my second half, while shes studying in the university, so all the outcome are on me.

I really wish I could focus my energy to build a great portfolio so that I could start working as a developer. But currently I’m stuck at an dead end job, working 12 hours a day, 6 days of the week to be able to pay all my expenses, while not even being able to put money a side for emergencies, and when emergencies do come, I get into more debt.

My Current debt stands on 9300 dollars and it drags me back each day.

Hopefully by your help, I’ll be able to focus on studying and find a job as a developer, and hopefully later in my life, impact the world for the better (one of my life goals).
