My name is Lucie, I am a young refugee girl living in south Africa. My goal is to continue with education in studying a Post graduate diploma in Business administration. I want to learn new skills, explore and share innovative ways of doing business.

I am also keen to develop management style and strategic thinking to my skills portfolio, in preparation for a business venture that I have in mind.

I have completed my BA degree in communication science in which I have spent a lot of time and effort learning subjects which reflect my preferences and interests such as Essential of Marketing, Business Management, Marketing communication, Economics and Public relations & Advertising.

I have developed a strong interest in project that focuses on Business administration and marketing management. I have a gained exposure into the marketing sectors as an intern, while job shadowing and volunteering in different organizations in order to get experience in the field. My aim is to graduate with an MBA one day and be able to open my own business which will employ people from different backgrounds in society and become a full participant of my community who contributes with positive imput through Corporate social responsibilities activities.

Being a refugee in a faraway land without support is a struggle for a young girl like me. It's the reason why I am so much looking forward into achieving goal so that I can be able to help another young girl like me who might find themselves in the same situation as I am currently facing.

My current goal is to work in an international business environment, and also start and develop my own business. After doing a lot of research, I realised that the post graduate business administration programme with its curriculum offers me with the education I need to achieve my goal.

My strengths include excellent communication skills, an inclusive approach to team building and critical thinking skills. My ability to be both effective and efficient will be an asset. The programme covers the business topics that interest me the most, such as global management, Economics for managers, leadership and organisational behaviour. As an aspiring future business leader, it is essential to have a solid background in these fields which will enable me to be capable of analysing and solving any practical problems that I may face.

The main reason I’m drawn to pursuing my postgraduate is because, Looking at my future, I understand that the only way to be successful in today’s business world is to make it in an international context which I believe will be the next big step in my development.

Studying a postgraduate diploma will improve my knowledge of doing business with the different strategies. Management and administration are necessary in any working environment, and people will always need them. Learning them will give me wider options to explore and those options are opportunities that I am looking towards seizing.

Inorder to achieve this goal, I need a minimum registration fee of R28 237.00 and the total amount for the course R56 475.00.

I understand that studying this qualification is going to be the most challenging step in my life so far, but I also believe I can endure any challenges I will face and make the most of the knowledge and experience gained through this study programme. I hope to contribute my talents, dedication and efforts to this course and become a worthy member of society through my imput.
