Educating 3 special needs boys

My Mission Simplified

Hello everyone. I am on a mission to meet all the needs of my three special needs sons. Currently two are enrolled in the local schools. However, even with me fighting day and night the schools are not giving them what they need to succeed and learn. To put it plain and simple the schools are refusing to meet their needs. Therefore, I believe it is imperative to take this into my own hands and home school all three next year. The problem with that is funding as we are a low income family due to all the issues we have.  I can and will get money to get the therapies the school did put on the IEPs but, not for the therapies they refused or any curriculum or other supplies.

Eban

My oldest Eban is 7 and has autism, ADHD, asthma auditory processing disorder and an overall language disorder (possible appraxia). However, he excels in math and puzzles. He receives speech therapy and OT. His reading and writing is at a kindergarten level. His other core except for math are at age level. Then His math is at a 2nd to 3rd grade level. The school has him in a first grade class and pull out for reading and writing but has not exceled his math and keeps him with first grade math. His math grade is 25% because he is frustrated and the have not seperated him for his testing like he needs. He is having trouble hearing the teacher but won't tell them and they won't listen to me. So, Eban has come home often begging me to home school him.

Mayven

Mayven is 4 almost 5. He is a happy boy who also has autism along with asthma, treacher collins and is deaf. He is the one I have had the most trouble getting what he needs. He receives OT, PT ,  APE, and speech therapy in a small special ed class. However he is non-verbal and due to attention (mainly maintaining eye contact) he only knows a few signs. The schools are refusing to give either A. a teacher of the deaf  B. a ASL teacher  C. an aide so he can go to the total communication class or D. an interpreter.  They also are refusing to put PECS on his IEP. I sign the best I can with him at home but without more he reminds me of a seeing Helen Keller who needs Anne desperately. The state Deaf school is to far away, so that is not an option.

Wyatt

My youngest Wyatt is 2 and will be 3 in January. He was born with grade 5 renal reflux and is extremely speech delayed. He only has about 4-6 words and about 10 signs. When he turns three he can go to public preschool because of his delay. However with the luck we have been having I believe it would be best just to home school him too, for now.
