After coming to the pastoralist area of Northern Kenya, we got to experience how young children are being married by their parents to old men, just to get dowry payment. Some are even booked already as newborns. Generally a big proportion of children is deprived the chance to go to school. They are dressed in charactieristic beading and often send into the bush to graze the families lifestock. They are denied a life of free choice and personal development.

We decided to establish an organization helping these children and the general community. We provide them with informal teaching in areas of health, life skills, language, culture and others. This will at least give them the chance to develop their minds to some extent and also facilitate their everyday lives. Those who have children might also change their mostly negative attitude towards education and send their children to school.

We also support a local extremely resource and teacher poor primary school (formal education) where standards of pupils are well below the country average.
