EDUCATE.ERADICATE.EMPOWER – AN ADVOCACY TO HELP STOP MDR-TB

This is an advocacy to help STOP the spread of MDR-TB in the Philippines. The aim is to educate people on the disease and raise funds to help patients cope with the treatment and eventually empower them by providing livelihood programs to help with their medical needs.

Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis is a very life-threatening and dreaded disease. The current drugs given to patients causes a lot of adverse side effects which leads to death and for the patients to eventually STOP with the treatment thus producing MORE COMPLICATED BACTERIA MUTATES. This is a global program. It can easily be spread and acquired through the air we breathe. Anyone could be a victim. It could be you or your children, so we must do our part to eliminate this dreaded Disease.

The first project is to conduct an OUTREACH PROGRAM this coming October 2019. The beneficiaries would be the patients undergoing treatment under the Bulacan Medical Center PBSP Satellite Treatment Center during the monthly assembly of the patients. The plan is to distribute HEALTH KITS, NUTRITIOUS FOODS, VITAMINS and MONETARY DONATIONS to help the patients with their everyday treatment.

The first step is to RAISE FUNDS to be able for us to make this OUTREACH EVENT possible.
