Edith, A fight against Cancer

Hello, my name is Ellicia Frentzen C. Del Mundo from Pasig City, Philippines and this is my mother Edita C. Del Mundo. In 2015 my mama got diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian cancer, she undergone an operation in able to remove the tumor in her ovary and received 6 cycles of chemotherapy last Feb 2016 to July 2016. After medications, treatments and God's healing power, by then she became cancer free.

But after 2 years, we never thought that her cancer would come back again but in this case, it transferred into another part of her body. This June 2018, she was hospitalized for 2 weeks diagnosed with Malignant Pleural Effusion where fluids buildup in the spaces of her lungs and chest causing difficulty in her breathing. Doctors told my family that the primarily cause of the fluid is her Breast cancer, which a tumor started occurring in her breast and affecting her lungs.

CT Scan and X-ray were done but we are still waiting for the results to know what is the condition of the tumor in the breast and what stage of the cancer is. Once the results released, we were advised to undergo Biopsy and operation to remove the tumor in her breast and the remaining pack of water in her lungs. After those, another cycles of chemotherapy must be done in able to kill the cancer.


To be honest I don't really have the courage to seek help from other people but the eagerness of wanting my mama to be healed again and make her sufferings to stop motivates me to write here. These days the medications and treatments for my Mama is going slow because of our incapacity to provide financial support to the said treatments. My family isn't wealthy, my father suffered from Kidney Failure and died when I was 15 years old. My mama retired from her work in 2016, the only source of our needs are coming from my two working brothers but their income are not enough for the medications of my mama.

So that is why I am here, knocking to your generous hearts to help and support us for the financial needs of my mama for her to survive this battle against cancer. She's been a very supportive and selfless mother to us, a friend to many people and a servant of the Lord. In behalf of my two brothers, I am expressing to all of you our heartfelt gratitude.
