Here at Four Seasons Community Co-Operative, we are rejuvenating Staines Adult Learning Centre.

We aim to construct a totally unique space in Staines which reflects the vibrant local community.

Our project is building in stages, simply put:

Part 1. Establish an urban garden, library, event space and share shop.

Part 2. Work with the local community to open new unique spaces within the Oast House.

We are reaching out for support creating a thriving Urban Gardan/ Urban Wildlife Sanctuary.

Utilising the Incredible Edible (http://incredibleediblenetwork.org.uk) and Transition (https://www.transitionnetwork.org) framework we intend to design a site of conservation which will inspire, encourage, connect and support communities; creating initiatives that rebuild resilience and reduce CO2 emissions; creating a healthy human culture, one that meets our needs for community, livelihoods and fun which also supports and attracts the surrounding Eco system.

We will be running events, conferences and training sessions promoting sustainable food production and consumption with our unique community garden anyone can come along and contribute to or forage from.

  • I'm sorry it's only 1. I work a zero hour contract, claim jobseekers and am hit by 'bedroom tax' at top whack. I live in Kingston Upon Thames so catching a bus to visit the project is something I hope to soon do; I'd love to meet you guys and assist if I can
