EDEN AM 1368 COMMUNITY RADIO

Eden (Community) Radio AM 1368 is a truly independent, community driven local radio station which offers accurate, relevant, informative and entertaining content for the following areas : greater Edenvale and Bedfordview, Boksburg, Benoni, Springs, Delmas, Tembisa, Midrand, Sandton, Roodepoort, Germiston, Johannesburg and Johannesburg South and all areas in between.

Our AM listenership is estimated conservatively at approximately 10 000/month.

Our on-line listenership calculated from individual I.P addresses is estimated at between 16 – 20 000/ month.

Our facebook page has a post reach of between 18-20 000/week.

We aim to contribute to the health, social wealth and entertainment of our local community. All revenue is aimed at keeping the station running – profits and programming (interviews / sponsorships / competitions) will be used to help legitimate local charities and worthy organisations.

Eden AM 1368 aims to provide much needed Community upliftment. To inform, to change people's lives, to make “living” a little bit easier, to fight crime, to improve access to important, independent, and relevant news and information. To showcase local talent, local community events and up coming entertainment: what to do in Ekurhuleni for adults AND kids during the weekends and holidays. To make the public aware of “their town” Community / charity organisations and projects on the go, services rendered and services needed.

Our content includes uplifting Local Business / Education and Children’s hour: talking & listening to the local children … getting to know what’s happening at grass roots level… in schools, at the malls, on the streets. Hobbies and Gaming / Craft and DIY / Gardening / Pets / Property / Medical and First Aid / Car and drive time segments.

We have an extremely impressive play list and are becoming renowned amongst our listeners for playing really amazing music – not just what’s hot and happening, but the tracks you just don’t hear anymore! We have interviewed over 80 South African Bands / Musicians – many of them performing live in studio. One of our main aims is to promote the amazing talent in this country.

We pride ourselves on our content and music – we are not beholden to limited commercial playlists, playing the same music over and over… rather we cover a wide genre of great artists, great music and great hits FROM EVERY GENERATION!
