Eco House

I have haboured a dream. For many long years I have dreamed of building an Traditinal looking Eco House for my family as example to others on low impact living. The house will incorperate the latest composite wooden framed technology using wood from sustainable sources with a high thermal efficiency. The externals of the building will incorperate recycled/reclaimed materials (Slates and Bricks) reducing the carbon impact of the building.The plan is that through the use of a ground source heat pump, Solar Thermal and Photovoltaic and micro turbine and by the use of the latest LED and other energy efficient system reduce the requirement for energy the house will be totally self sufficient for it's energy needs. Grey water recycling and rain capture will allow me to draw be water efficient and incorperate the latest in reed bed systems to filter the waste.Sadly things aren't cheap and although I am saving as every penny to realise this dream and provide inspiration for my children and others to lead a life that has less impact on the environment. To implement this plan I need money. As simple as that.Every single penny gets me one step nearer to my fulfilling my dream!
