This is my Mother. She has been taken advantage by a family member.   As many of you may have experienced, when an Parent becomes older and is struck with Alzheimer's they become vulnerable to abuse. This abuse can be mentally or physically. This is where I am with my mother. I took care of my Mother for 6.5 years. We bought a home across the street after my father passed so she could live out her wish; to stay in her home until she passes. I became sick and asked my sister to step up and help me for 10 days only to have he step in while I was not there, Get my mother to sign a power of attorney giving her the right to do whatever she wants to her or her belongings. This was three years ago. When I returned my Sister had my mother believing everyone was evile and going to hurt her.   I have spent over $10,000.00 to try to UNDO this POA. Since my sister has had POA, she sold my mother's home. Moved her in with her over 100 miles from all of my mother's friends, church and remaining family. My mother has a bedroom. My sister works 12 hours from home, in a room in her home, however when I can get my mother on the phone she says she is sitting watching TV. When she was with me, I'm retired on fixed income, we would go to lunch, to the fish market. We did crafts, like make place mats and paint goblets from the dollar store to match the place mats. She has a great granddaughter who will be 15 next week, she has not seen because my sister will not let her spend the night and she nor her mom have enough money to stay in a hotel for a weekend. My sister has a 6 bedroom home with 3.5 baths. I miss my mother. I cry at night knowing she is living a life alone. I finally found an attorney that states he can help me in Probate court not only to stop the abuse but to make My sister repay my mother for the money she has taken from her. She now has my mother paying her $3100.00 a month for rent. My mother only receives $1600.00 in Social Security Income and $1500.00 in rental income of her mother and father's home place. Which my sister has on the real estate market. I have watched my mother go without her entire life as she would not sell her MOM and DAD's home. She wanted this to stay in our family as it was handed down to her father from his father. My mother is 83 years old. Her father was born in 1908. So for him to receive this land that shows you how long she has tried to hold on. I want my mother's final days to be days she enjoyed, NOT IN A CHAIR. I need help. Please help me.
