Hello! Welcome and thank you for visiting my fundraising page. My name is Wes and I am a University student born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. Recently I have been accepted into a private school in Australia, Bond University. I will be commencing studies in January of 2015, and will be studying Accounting towards a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. As private schools are ridiculously expensive I am looking for a way to combat these high tuition fees!
Many have asked why I have wanted to go to Bond, and why I want to pay the high tuitions. I truly believe attending this University will give me a leg up upon graduation and I will receive exceptional education. Also, believe me, you do not want to stay in Saskatchewan during the winter!
But why me? Why help a student go to a private school in Australia. I am not a wealthy student by any means, and nor do I come from a wealthy family. What I am though, is a hard working student with a 3.8 GPA. An experienced leader in and out of school, from leading groups on projects, sectional leader in orchestral band and choral groups, to coaching students in martial arts. I am a member and volunteer of a Chinese cultural and heritage group and a big rugby enthusiast.
And I am of need of financial help to achieve my dreams and goals.
Future Career Goals
Upon graduation, I will work towards the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia designation and simultaneously the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Further education includes double masters in Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters of Finance degree.
After all this education, I dream to bring a higher ethical standard and more transparency to the financial industry. My hopes are manage a monetary fund; I may be naïve in my goals, but believe I can accomplish all my goals set out, by following a strict goal setting plan.
Your contributions will not go unnoticed. Each contribution will gain interest starting the first day of class. And I will repay you all of your contributions with interest! Yes, you will gain the benefit of helping a college student and you earn money. How I plan to repay you, is by taking my future earnings and giving it back to you. You will be the ones to help me achieve my goals, and you are the ones that deserve a reward.
Repayment will start 12 months after my convocation and schedules of repayment will be sent out then. All of your contributions will earn the stated amount of interest in the rewards sections until 12 months of me convocation. All monies owning after the 12 months will earn 1.5% interest during the repayment period.
To those reaching the reward level to receive a newsletter, they will also receive financial statements on what I have spent the money on. I will be as transparent detailing the use of these funds.
Any amount donated less than $100 still recieves the $100 dollar level rewards!
Almost all reward levels earn you more interest than what a bank will pay for a savings account!
I give an early thank you to those who will support me and thank you to all those who are already supporting me.
You are not only contributing to have your money earn interest over time, but you are investing in a student that will become a great leader in the future.
