Dusty dog is completely deaf and 90% blind. He needs an operation to remove a cataract from his left eye, which will at least restore some of his vision. His other eye is irreparably damaged
We found Dusty in the street outside our home a year ago. Confused, hungry and thirsty... Obviously abused and neglected and then deaf and mostly blind on top of it all. Even after a year we are still struggling just to get his skin condition under control.
It took almost a year for him to trust humans again, but finally he can be petted without cowering in fear every-time he is touched. In that way he has come so very far. He has developed his only little personality and can be very demanding when he wants to be the center of attention.
We would like to give Dusty a chance in life which he has never had. Our aim is to raise an amount of R25 000 to cover the cost of the cataract surgery and the related aftercare. Once the vet has given the all clear we need will every penny to make this a reality.
Dusty has a loving home with us and are given so much love every day. It is unimaginable how confusing a dark silent world must be with only scent to colour it…
We ask anyone willing to contribute to covering this vet account so that the operation could proceed.
