Dusty’s Detector

Being a full time college student studying veterinary medicine is no easy feat! It's a full time job in itself, and maintaining strait A's leaves me with little time for employment, yet alone enjoyment. However I do get a limited amount of time in the summer, winter, and spring to engage in my favorite activity: Gold prospecting.

Last year I had the opportunity to purchase a relatively inexpensive VLF type metal detector and have falling in love with the art of detecting. Considering the detector I have, I have been reasonably successful thus far, but am looking to upgrade to a professional level PI detector. This will allow me to achieve more finds while detecting which will give me more funds to relax in the field in between heavy school semesters.

Why I am here:

I have funded most of this metal detector puchase through the sale of gold found, gold bearing drywasher concentrates, and old equipment. However I am still short of purchasing this detector. I am currently raising part of the remaining funds needed through working online with amazon mTurk, but I only have limited time for this around school. You contribution goes directly to fulfilling my dream of owning a top level PI detector.

What you will get for supporting my project:

If you choose to support this project, any contribution over $25 will receive a bag of drywasher dirt concentrates containing real natural placer gold. These are the same concentrates I sell on eBay to fund my gold trips and to help pay for this detector. Also, if my target is reached the highest contributor will receive a real natural placer gold nugget in a display case.
