Campaign Story
GOAL: To raise funds for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment for the delivery ward of Durame General Hospital, Ethiopia.
We were approached by the delivery ward coordinator and midwife Melese Gabure to assist in raising funds for the purchase of PPE for Durame General Hospital. Durame General Hospital is located in the rural southern part of Ethiopia and provides comprehensive health care service for more than 5.4 million people of the Kembata Tambaro zone. At the time of writing, there are around 250 pregnant women in quarantine in the hospital's isolation centre. This protective gear will be essential in protecting the midwives of Durame Hospital from Covid-19 and will allow them to continue working while mitigating the danger of contracting Coronavirus.
