Campaign Story
Hey Everyone, If anyone knows anything about me, it is how much of an animal lover I am, and how dedicated I am towards my goals in life. I am currently going to school with the intention to do my naturopathic doctorate. This alone has been a difficult journey financially, but recently have encountered issues with my dogs health. Duke has been a constant companion of mine over the last 6 1/2 years and as I moved back to the frozen north he has developed an issue with his legs/hips. I spoke with the vets and after x-rays and testing, he will be needing surgery that will cost close to 5000$. This is money that I currently do not have. He also needs to be driven back to Vancouver Island where i need to get him looked after, purchase a leg brace, medicine, supplements, etc. I am not the kind of person to be unrealistic and if he was termanily sick I would not be asking for help. The bottom line is that he can 100% improve from the surgery, and the only barrier stopping me is finances. I can be a stubborn, bull-headed independant person when it comes to myself, but it breaks my heart seeing my dog in pain and not being able to do anything about it. He currently can barely walk and the pain medication isn't helping him too much. I am doing what I can to put it out there and ask for help. Anything would be appreciated. Even if it is prayers, good vibes and loving energy towards us. Thank you for considering, and reading through this. - Karinna & Duke
