Campaign Story
In response to the outpouring of support we have been receiving from residents, their families, fellow coworkers, vendors and business partners alike from across the United States asking how they can help amid the devastation many team members incurred due to hurricane Harvey in Texas and hurricane Irma in Florida, Discovery Senior Living is sponsoring this fundraising page. We have team members that have lost housing, cars, clothing and personal belonging from the wind, rain and flooding that accompanied these storms. We are most thankful for their safety and the safety of their families. Items can be repurchased but lives cannot be replaced.
In addition to helping team members get back on their feet, we also want to thank those who worked tirelessly for days getting the communities ready for the storms, huddling with residents during the storms and providing for their safety, security and comfort after the storms. While having their own homes and families to worry about, they showed tremendous fortitude and compassion giving everything of themselves as needed. We have never been more proud as a company.
All donations will go directly to team members as determined by need. If you would like your donation to specifically be directed to either Harvey or Irma, please mention it in the comments below. We will do everything in our power to direct your donation as requested.
Thank you very much for your giving in support of our fellow team members. We are all one great big family and together we will rise to meet these challenges together.
