Better Living Conditions

Good day everyone.

I would like to tell you a bit of my family history. My mother and I worked at the same small store as clerks. Three years ago my mother became very ill and was hospitalized. After a two week stay, my mother came home but needed constant care. Not only did my mother have to quit her job, I did as well. We went from a three person income to living on my father's salary. As expected, we have accumulated many bills.

Our house was in need of heavy repairs before my mother became ill, and now is in worse shape. Our kitchen floor is caving in due to water damage and cannot be walked on to cook or clean. Our roof leaks in almost every room, causing mold to grow. We do not have heating or air. We run fans in the summer and electric heaters in the winter, but these do not make our home cool/warm. We are still very hot in the summer and so cold in the winter that we can see our breath.

We would like to move to an apartment, where not only will we be able to live comfortably, but my father's paycheck can stretch further. Our house is very expensive to live in, as it is not well insulated and we have a leak beneath the house that we cannot afford to fix. Our last power bill was close to $500. It has become essential that we find another home.

If we can raise enough money to pay off our back bills and to afford the moving expenses, our dream can be realized. If you feel led to do so, please help us relocate to a better home. We cannot do this without help. Thank you so very much for taking the time to read my lengthy request. God bless.
