drowning in student loan debt

Education for those who seek it should not be such a major stressor in ones life. The student loans these days are such that once schooling is completed the stress and agonizing thoughts on how this large sum of money will be repaid overcomes the excitement of reaching your goal to obtain an education and go out into the world and make a difference. I am a single mom who has obtained student loans for my child to allow her to follow her dreams. My child who should be in their senior year of college is now bascially considered a Junior because the original college attended lost their credentials for the major she was studying for and as a result my child had to re-do 2 years of schooling because many of those credits were not transferrable. Which took my situation from bad to worse financially. I am already over $120,000 in debt and still have 2 more years to pay for. I have another child who just entered high school and I have no idea if I will be able to send this child to college....I have personally worked since I was 13 years old and went to school myself however the daily financial stresses NEVER end! I think if as a country (USA) we spent as much money on education as we do the on other NONSENSE many parents and college bound young men and women would be in a much better place!
