Those who know me, knows me and for those who don’t, well the answer is obvious. My name is Max and my passion is to play Soccer (Futbol) professionally, whatever you chose to call it. Having recently graduated with a Master degree in Social Work made me and those close to me proud. Unfortunately, it left me overdrawn like the many recent graduates (P.s., Sallie Mae lied; they literally sent my first loan repayment bill within the first week of me graduating lol). Despite that, getting a Master degree was never a goal of mine growing up. Still, I’ve always been able to complete what I start regardless of the impediments. Playing soccer has been the outlet for many ventures in my life. Although I was going to school fulltime, working full time, acting, and doing whatever it is that I was doing fulltime; I still made time to kick the round- ball-around. I once had a coach told me, “Whatever it is that you find yourself doing the most is your priority,”-Bret Hal. That resonated with me as I was doing zilch for most of my time. In this context, “Zilch” means things that were not important to me, at least for now. Nonetheless, I feel those experiences has greatly shaped me in-to becoming who I am today. Today, I am one who will do whatever it takes to make a dream turn into a reality within reasonable limits. With the support of the many coaches and close friends, I was able to attend a Professional soccer combine (Ax Soccer Tours) a few weeks ago. Indubitably, the tasks during the combine were rigorous physically and mentally. Auspiciously, I was both physically and mentally ready. Out of the 100+ individuals who participated, 18 aspiring players were chosen to form an Elite team to compete over in Sweden in August of 2015. Well-deserved after doing the hard work, I was offered to go overseas in order to showcase my talent playing against other Professional teams who are interested in signing players like myself. To me, this is great opportunity to finally turn my long-time dream into a reality. Financially, this will cost and I’m in the shortcoming. After all, there isn’t any pride in not asking for help in achieving a life goal. That being said, whatever it is you can provide would be appreciated. If nothing, a Good Luck will suffice.
