My name is Jorge, and I'm a 34 years old father and husband. I'm brazilian and I live with my wife and kids in the 13th most violent city in the world, according to a recent study by the Citizen Council for Public Safety and Criminal Justice*.
Well, me and my wife always dreamed of live in Canada and, as we see all this violence that is happening here, I decided try to immigrate to Canada, but I can't, because I'm not an Skilled Worker and for this reason I'm not eligible by the federal imigration program or provincial programs. The easiest, and so far guaranteed, solution is apply for the study visa, finish my post-secondary degree in Canada, and then apply for the immigration and bring my wife and kids from Brazil. It's not about me and my wife, but my two little boys. I want to give them the opportunity to grow in a violence free country (in comparison with Brazil, of course), with the best education and high quality life conditions, among other good reasons to leave my country.
I'm raising funds to pay for my tuition and accomodations for 2 years.
I know there are a lot of causes more important than mine. I'm asking for my boys the life changing opportunity and maybe you can help us make it real! Thank you all and sorry for my english, I'll still have to apply for the IELT's, if I succeed at my fund raising.
