Dream Wedding

Dear All,

My name is Jakub and this is my story.

I am currently finishing my law studies in The Netherlands. I am coming from Slovakia and I lived abroad for many years. However, I was unhappy in my past relationship but I somehow coped with it. I am sure, many of you know this; "It will get better, just try harder...". It doesn't work. It always takes two people to make a relationship work.

Road to Engagement

But there I was when I found my soul mate, my everything, my Immortal Beloved. We clicked instantly and from that very moment, we have started our journey together. I have never ever been happier in my life. I finally understood what it means to find your true love, to understand each other perfectly, and to be each others' halves.

Shortly after, we moved back to Slovakia to complete my internship. We have started to live together from the first day of our relationship and it became the best choice of our lives. I do not know better feeling that the one I experience when I feel her heart beating next to me in bed as we lay down to sleep.
On our most recent trip in Milan, I have decided to propose on 30th January 2018.

Therefore, I have also decided to tell my story here, to share this beautiful moment with the community and, at the same time, to ask you all for a great help - to help me fund our wedding and to make my already fiancee's wishes about dream wedding come true!

Why the funding campaign?

I wish nothing more than making my fiancée the happiest person alive, and therefore I am kindly asking you for your financial support since neither I nor my fiancée want to financially burden our parents.

The reason is simple. We both studied abroad and we all know how costly it can get. School fees, accommodation, and so forth. Thus we have decided not to financially burden our parents anymore and we are trying to be completely financially independent. However, as for students and - in general - for young people, it is very hard to be financially independent and to start a family nowadays.

And oh my, weddings are so expensive! Therefore, we cannot financially support our dream wedding in a near future with entry level jobs. Would you, please, help me make her wishes about her dream wedding come true? It would mean the world to me! :)

In Slovakia, we have a saying that within a year and a day from the engagement, the wedding should be put into effect. Thus I helplessly hope that I can raise these funds by the end of this year (2018). This potential funding would be used for venue reservations (church and after-ceremony celebrations for family and friends), accommodations for us as well as some guests, transport for us and guests, band, catering, wedding decorations, and most importantly for my Beloved's dream wedding dress.
I know I probably forgot many things connected to wedding but I am sorry - this will be my very first and last wedding!
