Dream of becoming a pilot

After I graduated from high school, I established two goals for myself that I wanted to accomplish by the age of thirty. Number one was to become fluent in French. Check. After nearly 8 years of studying French I can safely say that I am now fluent. I am currently working as a French teacher. My second goal was to get my commercial pilots license with the hope of one day working in the airline industry. I just turned 29 and it's high time I get moving on goal two. Unfortunately, the cost of pursuing this dream is prohibitive, especially on a teacher's salary. The dream of becoming a pilot goes back to when I was kid playing Flight Simulator 99 on my old pc. When I was finishing up high school in 2009, the aviation industry was in shambles and everyone told me that it would be dumb to pursue a career in aviation. Now, with the pilot shortage and the promise of a brighter future in the industry I think that now would be an excellent time for me to dive in. Please help me achieve my dream. Any additional funding I receive will be donated to AOPA to fund aviation scholarships for the next generation of aviators.

I have not yet begun flying. I'm currently studying to pass my ground test. I will begin flying in the spring when I have more free time.
